BIOGRAPHY QUALIFICATIONS Dr. Pates has worked with many professional athletes including Olympic competitors and world motor racing champions. He has worked with more than 50 Tour players including six Ryder Cup stars, two World Cup champions and 15 tournament winners. Dr. Pates delivers psychology programs for the British, American and Swiss Professional Golf Associations. The doctor is BASES accredited and has chartered status with the British Psychology Society. Dr. John Pates has been involved in performance coaching and education for the past 20 years. He is one of the most qualified and most successful sports psychologists in the world and he has worked with many professional athletes including Olympic competitors and world motor racing champions. For the past five years John has worked almost exclusively on the European PGA golf tour. His impressive list of clients consists of five Ryder Cup players including, captain Ian Woosnam, Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke, Paul Broadhurst, Graeme McDowell and Jean Van de Velde. He is also the mental trainer to World Cup winner Bradley Dredge, Dunhill links Champion Stephen Gallacher, and over fifteen PGA tour winners. Taken together, John has worked with over 50 tour players and has coached golfers to win European, World, and Ryder Cup events. John conducts some of his work at the world class Belfry Golf Club and he writes and delivers psychology programmes for the British, American and Swiss Professional Golf Associations. He works with Amateur and Junior Golf throughout Europe and is a consultant for the Jack Nicklaus Academies and the Swiss National Golf Team.       John now applies his unique skills and experiences to the business world by teaching performance enhancing skills to Executive Business people and designing Peak Performance Business models for aspiring companies. His approach and models of excellence have attracted interest and praise throughout the Business community. John graduated from the University of Wales with an Honours Degree in Physical Education and Psychology and a Masters Degree in Sports Psychology. He also holds a PH.D from Sheffield Hallam University where he held a position as a Senior Lecturer from 1999 to 2002. John also has qualifications in education (PGCE) and is a practitioner of Ericksonian Hypnosis and NLP.
